Colin Kaepernick Gets MORE Heat For Sporting Socks Depicting Police Officers As Pigs During 49ers Practice! See His Response!

The photos may be old, but that statement’s still strong.

Earlier this month, Colin Kaepernick

Bill Johnson, executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, slammed the socks for being “disrespectful,” telling USA Today:

“It’s just ridiculous that the same league that prohibits the Dallas (Cowboys) football club from honoring the slain officers in their community with their uniforms stands silent when Kaepernick is dishonoring police officers with what he’s wearing on the field.”

But, the quarterback took to Instagram to explain the fashion and political statement he made on August 10 and 12 isn’t targeting all cops, just the “rogue” ones, posting:

The athlete previously told reporters he will “continue to sit” through the National Anthem in order to “stand with the people being oppressed.”

We personally think the sports star has every right to peacefully protest the social injustices going on in this country, considering some of our free nation’s core values are freedom of speech and freedom of expression.

Good for him using his platform to speak out against inequality and police brutality.

What do YOU think??
