Earlier this month, Colin Kaepernick
Bill Johnson, executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, slammed the socks for being “disrespectful,” telling USA Today:
“It’s just ridiculous that the same league that prohibits the Dallas (Cowboys) football club from honoring the slain officers in their community with their uniforms stands silent when Kaepernick is dishonoring police officers with what he’s wearing on the field.”
But, the quarterback took to Instagram to explain the fashion and political statement he made on August 10 and 12 isn’t targeting all cops, just the “rogue” ones, posting:

We personally think the sports star has every right to peacefully protest the social injustices going on in this country, considering some of our free nation’s core values are freedom of speech and freedom of expression.
Good for him using his platform to speak out against inequality and police brutality.
